Llatai Santes Dwynwen
Yn flynyddol ers 2005 mae Gwen Lasarus, sy'n Swyddog Hyrwyddo Llenyddiaeth Gwynedd, wedi gweithredu fel llatai serch ar ddiwrnod Santes Dwynwen, mewn gynllun ar y cyd rhwng Cyngor Gwynedd ac Academi (www.academi.org).
Bydd bardd Cymraeg yn cael comisiwn i gyfansoddi cerdd serch, addas i'w gyrru allan ar Ddiwrnod Santes Dwynwen, gyda nifer gyfyngedig o gardiau "go iawn" yn cael eu hanfon drwy'r post, a'r gweddill yn cael eu hanfon fel e-gerdyn dros y we. Dwi'n hoff iawn o ddehongli barddoniaeth wrth fod ei i fod yn gyfrwng ddelweddol iawn.
St Dwynwen Love Messenger
Since 2005 Gwen Lasarus, the Literature Promotion Officer for Gwynedd, has acted as a Love Messenger on St Dwynwen's Day, the Welsh equivalent of St Valentines (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dwynwen) in a scheme run by Gwynedd Council and Academi (www.academi.org).
A renowned Welsh poet is annually commissioned to write a piece of poetry suitable for the occasion, with a limited edition of "real" cards sent through the post, and the rest being sent as e-cards online. My job has been to design and produce the cards and e-cards. It's been a nice on-going romantic project to be involved with, combining my love of poetry with visual interpretation.
