yn "Cip" a "Iaw", Cylchgronau'r Urdd, Mawrth 2011.

Spread dwy dudalen i godi ymwybyddiaeth o refferendwm 3dydd Mawrth 2011, i bleidleisio ar gryfhau hawliau ddeddfu Cynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru. Y syniad oedd i roi hanes gwahanol "lywodraethau" Cymru ar hyd o canrifoedd, er mwyn cyflwyno cyd-destun hanesyddol y Cynulliad i'r plant.

Mae Sian Eleri, golygydd cylchgronau'r Urdd yn dda iawn am wneud y math yma o beth. Mae'n llenwi bylchau pwysig ar ddysgu hanes Cymru i'n plant. Dwi wedi gweithio ar tua 25 o'r spreads yma iddi bellach, yn amrywio ar themau o hanes llenorion a beirdd fel T Llew Jones a Hedd Wyn i hanes cyfansoddi Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau a llongddrylliad y Royal Charter. Dwi wedi mwynhau gweithio arnynt yn ofnadwy ac wedi dysgu llawer fy hun (yn enwedig gan i mi wneud llanast llwyr o astudio hanes tra yn yr ysgol - gormod o ddynion yn rhyfela i gynnal fy niddordeb). Mae gen i freuddwyd y gellid casglu yr holl speads a'u cyhoeddi fel un gyfrol rhyw ddydd.

The aim of the spread was to raise readers' awareness of the upcoming referendum on 3rd March 2011, to vote on increasing the Welsh Assembly's Law making powers. Also to give a historical context to the Welsh Assembly, by looking at past Welsh "government" leaders over the centuries - Llywelyn the Last, Owain Glyndwr, oh, and Rhodri Morgan!

The Urdd comic's editor, Sian Eleri is especially good at these Welsh history spreads and we've worked on about 25 together so far, ranging from the history of Swansea city to the story of Santes Dwynwen (the Welsh St Valentine). I have a very good working relationship with Sian and I've really enjoyed the on-going nature of these spreads. I'd love to see them all collated and published as one volume one day.
